Course Objectives
This course enables security administrators to implement basic and advanced security solutions with Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense. It deepens existing knowledge and expands it by explaining the broad range of Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense functions. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to plan, implement and maintain a secure and efficient implementation of Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense in their environment. The following tasks will be accomplished:
- Assess the basic firewall technology, features, hardware models and licensing model of Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense
- Setup and maintenance of administrative access at Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense.
- Integration of Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense into the network using the included network features
- Configuration and troubleshooting of the Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense
- Configuration and troubleshooting of policies (Access Control, IPS, Malware und Prefilter)
- Configuration and troubleshooting of the Identity Based Firewall features (Passive and Active Authentication)
- Configuration and troubleshooting of Failover on the Firepower/Firepower Threat Defense
- Configuration and troubleshooting of IPSec Site-to-Site VPNs on the Firepower Threat Defense
- Configuration and troubleshooting of AnyConnect VPN on the Firepower Threat Defense
